Cathy Lawlor is an established singer, singing teacher and cultural practitioner, originally from Dublin but having moved to Malta back in 2011.

With a keen interest in arts and cultural management Cathy held the post of Events Manager at Teatru Manoel from 2013 – 2016 where she managed The Valletta International Baroque Festival as well as concerts, opera, theatre and dance productions. An established project manager in the arts and cultural field, Cathy has worked in a freelance capacity in the sector, managing a series of projects for organisations such as Teatru Manoel, Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Malta School of Music, MACM, and Unifaun Theatre Productions, as well as The Maltese Islands Festival of Drama, Music, Singing and Dance.

Music and arts education are a high priority for Cathy, whereby she strongly values her singing teaching and vocal coaching. She is a strong advocator for promoting standards, excellence and personal growth through high quality training in the performing arts. As well as offering private tuition, Cathy held the post of ‘Principal’ at School of Performing Arts (SOPA) from 2018-2021.

During Covid Cathy decided to strengthen her financial knowledge in an aim to further broaden her management skills and is now in the advanced stages of her ACCA accounting qualification. She Worked for KPMG Malta for a period of nine months in the corporate accounting department. She now aims to focus on accounting services for the cultural sector.
