Emma trained at KS Dance Ltd, UK in a variety of disciplines then moved on to work for the Vienna Festival Ballet Company touring UK and Europe. After moving to Malta Emma has worked in numerous productions including The Dreamcatchers, and The Bard’s Farewell (The New Theatre Company), Spelling Bee (Salesian Theatre), Silouette’s in the Moonlight (Zugraga), Dido and Eneas (Teatru Manoel Opera), My Fair Lady, Hairspray, High School Musical, Chicago, Cinderella, Ali Baba, Are Your Being Served and ‘Allo ‘Allo (FMT), Oliver! Honk, Beauty and the Beast, Hair, Legally Blonde, Jesus Christ Superstar, Dracula Spectacular, Dazzle, Scream for Halloween (Stagecoach Malta), Peter and the Wolf (Manoel Theatre), Carnival of Animals (St James Cavalier) Wizard of Oz (Panto) Midsumer Night’s Dream and Glorious (MADC), 100 (Teatru Anon), Speja and Some Explicit Polaroids (Unifaun), Dance Fusion (Alegria), More Four Play and Four Play Four (DNA), Porn the Musical (Indeskarf). Various performances and festivals for Tanya Bayona Poutiatine Academy, Stagecoach Malta, Academy of Dance Arts, Creative Dance Studio and Incite Motion. Emma now works as a full-time drama teacher as well as a freelance dance teacher and choreographer. She is also a resident teacher at Living Dance Malta.

ELAINE MERCIECA

Elaine Mercieca is a graduate of the University of Malta having followed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music Performance under the tutelage of Mro. Michael Laus, later on acquiring a Post-Graduate Certificate in Music Education at the same institute. Elaine was fortunate enough to be awarded a scholarship through the ‘Master It!’ scheme, and went on to acquire a Master of Music Degree with Distinction at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in the UK. Elaine is currently a full-time piano accompanist and tutor at the Malta Visual and Performing Arts School.

KIM RESTALL

Ms Kim Restall graduated from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is a registered Dietitian in both Malta and in the UK and is the Head of the Weight Management Institute at Saint James Hospital Malta.

Kim began her work experience in Scotland at the Royal Cornhill Hospital, Dr Gray’s Hospital and Ayrshire Central Hospital, in both a community and diverse acute setting. This included working in various wards such as orthopaedics, oncology, surgical, older adults, paediatrics, gastroenterology, and critical care. Furthermore, Kim then specialized in dietetics for Bariatric Surgeries, which led her to her leadership role within the Weight Management Institute at Saint James Hospital, Malta. As the head of the department, Kim plays a pivotal role in guiding patients through their weight-loss journey both pre- and post-bariatric surgery.

With hands-on experience working with diverse patient profiles, Kim offers tailored nutritional plans and support that address the unique dietary needs of the individuals. Their expertise lies not only in the clinical aspects of nutrition but also in the compassionate care she gives helping patients build sustainable, healthy lifestyles and long-term success. This comprehensive care model has made Kim a respected clinician in the field and a trusted professional for both medical professionals and patients alike.

TIMIA SATARIANO

Timia Satariano holds a Masters degree in Teaching, specializing in German. Along with her passion for the German language and culture she is also a fluent Russian speaker. Whether through teaching or cultural exchange, she is committed to fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of the German-speaking world.

CHRISTINE ZERAFA

Maltese pianist Christine Zerafa has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in various international venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, and Queen Elizabeth Hall, amongst others. She has also performed in distinguished festivals including Oxford Lieder Festival, Cheltenham Festival, and has also played live on BBC TV and Radio 3. Most recently she was made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, an honour in recognition of her significant contribution to the music profession.

Christine has been recipient of various awards including the Bice Mizzi National Competition, the
Royal Northern College of Music Clifton Helliwell Prize, the Royal Academy of Music Scott Huxley prize for piano accompaniment, the Schumann Lieder pianist prize, as well as the Eric Brough Prize and the John B McEwen Prize during her studies. Christine was twice selected as a Park Lane Group Artist and she was also an award winner on the Tunnell Trust Artist Chamber Music Scheme.

Christine enjoys a very busy performance schedule as a soloist, chamber musician, song accompanist and orchestral pianist. Besides performing, Christine also enjoys coaching singers and instrumentalists and she has frequently been invited as a visiting staff pianist at the Royal College of Music, and the Royal Academy of Music, where she worked with students from woodwind, vocal and string faculties in master classes, competitions, exam recitals and entrance auditions. She has accompanied her duo partners in international competitions, which performances led to various awards, including the Tillet Trust award, ROSL Gold Medal award, Philip and Dorothy Green Making Music Award, Tunbridge Wells International Competition, Young Concert Artists Trust (YCAT), and BBC Young Musician.

Christine gained a Master of Music in solo performance from the Royal Northern College of Music where she studied with Norma Fisher and Paul Janes, after which she moved on to study with Andrea Lucchesini at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Florence. Having a great passion for collaboration with singers and instrumentalists, she then read for a Master of Music degree in piano accompaniment, which she completed with distinction at the Royal Academy of Music under the tuition of Michael Dussek, Malcolm Martineau and Ian Brown. She has recently completed her PhD at the Royal Academy of Music, which focused on the role of the pianist in the art of song and duo chamber music.
